SNV - Nederlands Development Organization

SNV started supporting biogas activities in Nepal in 1989 and in Vietnam in 2003. Since 2006, domestic biogas programmes have also been established in Bangladesh and Cambodia, while a pilot programme in Lao PDR took off in 2007. Pakistan and Indonesia launched biogas programmes in 2009.


National Biodigester Programme (NBP)- Cambodia

The program has activities in the fields of promotion and marketing, construction, repair and maintenance, quality control, Research and Development, training and workshop, bio-slurry extension, monitoring and evaluation of anaerobic digesters.


Appropriate Infrastructure Development Group (AIDG) - Biodigesters

Biodigesters help families by providing a cheap source of fuel, preventing environmental pollution from runoff from animal pens, and reducing diseases caused by the use of untreated manure as fertilizer.


Technologies for Economic Development

TED is a Lesotho based NGO dealing with the dissemination of appropriate technologies which are environmentally friendly and integrate well into the socio-economic conditions at hand. A primary focus of TED is the engineering and fine-tuning of suitable technologies to foster their long-term adoption by the Basotho. This includes the design of the production process which takes into consideration the present economic structures, the available environmental ressources, the local expertise and cultural particularities.
